I heard from my students that the Prime Minister has passed a new law changing the spelling of the country from Turkey to T�rkiye and that it should be used in all corrospondence . Does any think that this is a good idea ? Comments graciously accepted as I for one don't .

I thought that was how it was spelt anyway?

Turks are not rioting.

That is upsetting as I expected much more noble resolutions form someone like you. Mine are:

to continue to name and shame the TEFL exploiters in Turkey and to stand up for the poor TEFLers at the chalkface.

OK, some creepy-crawly resolutions -

1 Join a dog-rescue team, rescuing (as one may imagine) mistreated dogs
2 Pretend to be a caring sharing teacher and help my students, instead of laughing at their mistakes

Can�t think of any more.
