Hello everyone,

I recently sent in my application to JET programme and I have yet to hear back about getting an interview. It has been about a week and a half since my application arrived at its destination. So, I was just wondering if this is normal and/or how long does it usually take before they get back to you with an interview request?

Hi,

Look to receive a nay or a yay regarding an interview sometime in early January.

Interviews take place (in Canada and I think most of the US) during February

After the interview, you will then get either accepted, put on the short list or rejected. This happens sometime in April.

Whenever dealing with anything Japanese, remember one simple rule...it takes time, alot of it Very Happy

The applications just sit in a big pile until the deadline. When it passes, that's when they'll start to look at them. So it doesn't matter if you get in in first or five minutes before the embassy closes on the day they are due. And because they all sit in a huge pile, it takes a long time to go through them.
