Hi,

There's a new job ad for EFL instructors at Taif & Jeddah (by Raytheon). Does anybody know whether they assign you to one of these locations or do you get moved between them from time to time? I can't imagine anybody preferring Taif over Jeddah.

There was a post earlier about salaries paid by Raytheon, saying they paid around $50k. This ad says $50-59k. Does that mean that they have raised salaries since? With MA, DELTA and ten years EFL experience (7 in ME), what should I expect?

What are they like to work for? Does anybody know? (I worked for KFUPM, Dhahran, for two years, which could serve as a comparison if anybody knows both employers).

Also, these posts below about DIFA, are they in any way connected with Raytheon?

Thanks!

Raytheon used to be US and Canadian citizens only. No connection with Difa that I know of.

At Raytheon students were Air Defence Cadets - pretty difficult customers.

Why not go back to KFUPM ?

Are you persona non grata there ?

With your experience and qualifications you could get $80,000 (plus all the benefits and bonuses) at BAE/SDT.

Check tefl.com to see if they're still advertising.

BA is the go for the dough.

They have been advertising a fair bit of late but reject many applicants even if they have all the right credentials. I am not sure how they work out their hiring policies but they seem rather arbitary. Worth a try and see ing they have multi exit re entry visas these days it is a much easier gig.

Hi Scot47,

How are they difficult? Totally unmotivated? Or undisciplined?

No, I could apply to KFUPM again. But they are not recruiting at the moment as far as I know. Also, $59k caught my attention =)
