I am trying to buy a reasonably elegant alarm clock with numbers and not roman numerals or time division markers. I am running out of time...no pun intended. Anyone have any idea where I can get one? I have trecked around Pacific place and central and found nothing. |

I can only suggest the usual places:
Department stores - Wing On (Sheung Wan), Sogo (Causeway Bay), Jusco (Tai Koo), UNY (Tai Koo), Mitsukoshi (Causeway Bay), Lane Crawford (Causeway Bay, Central, Admiralty), Seibu (Admiralty)
Furnishing stores: IKEA(Causeway Bay, Shatin, Prince Edward), GOD (Causeway Bay, Kowloon Tong), Franc (Causeway Bay), lots of little shops in Princes Building, Central
Look in the yellow pages under clock retailers?
Don't especially know anywhere for clocks I'm afraid. |

Tried many of those..thanks. However, I was in the Princess building and walked away without investigating properly. I met someone who I really didnt want to talk to, so ran away saying I had to go and was really busy. How dumb that was with hindsight! I was sure that Lane Crawford and Seibu would provide..but no. In the UK this would be so easy. It would be really easy to find clocks of any kind. But looking around HK today made me realise that they are not that available here unless they are the cheap and inelegant kind from Japan homestores etc. I saw some in Cartier, but luckily they had roman numerals and not numbers..or that would have been a real dilemma..not wanting to pay anywhere near Carties prices for a simple alarm clock! Thanks for taking the time dandan...much appreciated. I will check out Princes building..and I had not thought of Mitsukoshi.
Have very merry holidays all. |
