I have 5-6 years teaching experience.
1 year university teaching experience.
TESOL certificate.
BA from an American university non-ESL/English/linguistics related.
MA from an Austrian university non-ESL/English/linguistics related.
American citizen. |

Dear TB,
You might be qualified to teach part-time--I'm not sure about the European masters degree, though.
Typically, this means a fixed pay of 575NT per hour. Some special classes pay 800NT per hour.
I have heard of 1500NT per hour for some classes, but I don't know any details about these high-paying gigs.
You might could teach full-time at a junior college. These jobs usually pay around 55K NTD per month. Universities expect a PhD but the pay is still less than many foreigners make 'running around' teaching at cram schools and doing private classes.
