maybe this well help you and maybe not. just throwing it out there for you to see...
yokohama is near yokosuka and if you go to JR yokohama station, take the keikyu line to yokosuka chuo, you can get there in may 25-30 mins. In yokosuka-chuo there is an excellent real estate agent who speaks great english. she works at the century 21 near the keikyu yokosuka chuo train station. if you exit the station by going down the escalators and cross the first street by TGIFridays, the century 21 shop is bright yellow and across from PIA pachinko parlor.
i cant remember her name but she is young, wears glasses and is married to an American. She is also the only person in there who can speak English.
She didnt find my apt for me, but helped with finding us a parking space---which NO ONE could find for us because "we are foriegners". Even though you dont want to live in yokosuka, she may be able to help you as a lot of people go in there to find places in yokohama. And she's nice, realistic, and can speak English very well.

Hope this can help you some! Very Happy
