Oops, I should have said pigs are scavengers or, although they eat meat, they don't hunt. Dogs and cats and hunting carnivores carry their young around in their mouths, so they aren't as threatened by being picked up or handled. Pigs are extremely smart animals though. I suppose you could make some sort of on-topic interpretation of this, but I'm really being quite literal. I also admit I wasn't very good at pig-raising though. They're not particularly interested in learning English!
Yes, Samantha I'm going to write about my experiences. Guy, I think you should put away the novel (or whatever you're working on) and collect and publish all you're posts on Dave's. Good stuff!

Tell me I have this mental image wrong...in anticipation of coming to Mexico, you went to the pig farm, Headway in hand, and tried the communicaitve approach out on a not-so-willing audience of swine? Laughing Wink

You know, the issue of copyright came up somewhere before for the posts on Dave's..whether they could be collected and used in such a way.

Hi Samantha,

As a reply to your questions. Yes we did do business with Guy. We had one internship through him. This girl was happy with the service that Guy provided. On the other hand we spoke with several people who were not happy with the service. The reason why I posted this message is that we have a link to his business on our website. If there are a lot of people that have bad experiences we would have a talk with Guy about this and consider taking the banner of our website

I used to "fish" on the board, but only ever caught one for myself(no wait, I think it was more like she caught me! Wink ). I have also sent a few to my "friends". In general, its not a very good way to recruit. Confused

I found my employer here....is there something immoral in using the forum for such purposes or is it just the fear of it turning into a recruitment board?

A forum to recruit already exists. This forum is set up to bitch about the place where you ended up. Wink However, cwc doesn't seem to have caught on yet.

Playadelsol, I know who you are. We have a mutual acquaintance. Your reputation preceeds you and it stinks. What did I do to warrant your remark? I havent asked anyone to work with us. We no longer have any openings. Is it wrong to write about the good things at my school? I am not to blame that you work for half what I make. This forum is to expose the good and the bad. Please explain yourself. BTW, we started our teachersmeetings today and we had cochinita catered in. Tomorrow we are going out to eat seafood, on the boss of course. I will be thinking of you. Ive got to go, my private class is going to start. 150 m.n. X 3 for 1 hour = 450 pesos in an hour. I suspect you dont even make that in a day. I also suspect you dont have a Masters or 12 years experience. If anyone wants to make money instead of scraping by, this is the place!!!!!!!!!

Actually I suspect Eugene (the pig) was trying to teach me something, maybe pig-latin? He ended up teaching me a food offering trick and decided I was hopeless. I don't know what books he tried, but he had a habit of eating books, probably getting more out of them that way than many students (or teachers, for that matter) Laughing

This thread should be locked perhaps as it is way off track...however I gotta tell you C....you are pretty touchy for a guy that has life by the tail as you claim to do. With all those double degrees I guess you had no time to even minor in humour, hence you don't recognise it? Aside from that, why do you feel the need to brag as you do? It makes no sense and comes across badly. Do I have to make an appointment on the Dr. Phil show for you? Cool

The use of emoticons seems to be a little too advanced for you. Any expaination I offer will probably just leave you baffled.

It is called a joke. As soon as remove your head from your boss's upper intestine, you might want to ask someone about them.

Playadelsol, Dont try to say that your remark was humor. It doesnt even come close to humor. I was not insulted. I just wanted you to explain why you thought I didnt understand that the forum is not for recruiting. As far as Samantha goes, just fact no brag! If the fact that you work for peanuts hurts your feelings, go back to school. As usual, you cant have a conversation without using childish statements which border on insults. If you read my posts and compare them to yours it becomes apparent who is conciliatory and who is looking for a fight. You will notice that your posts have elicited two requests to lay off. Nobody has ever accused me of fighting.

Well, we can start with this quote:

"If anyone wants to make money instead of scraping by, this is the place!!!!!!"

Maybe you should ask your boss to get you one of those cute, little cheerleading outfits.

BTW, your PM to me was a keeper. However, if you want into enter a battle of wits with me, you had better get down to Chedraui and buy some, first.
