I notice that the overwhelming majority of job notices mention the following requirement:

"A Valid Passport from the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa "

or something to that effect. Rolling Eyes

Do any of you use your Irish passport or know of any teachers who do?

thank you...

To my knowledge Ireland and Scotland do meet the governments requirements as far as being 'native English speaking countries' so you should have no problem.

As a Scot or a person from Northern Ireland you would have the same passport as me (UK), so you are definitely eligible to work in Taiwan. If you're from Eire I'm not sure. You can, however, work in Japan is that's any help.

I believe Ireland is often left off the list in job ads, but it is one of the nationalities that can work legally in Taiwan (along with the other ones you mentioned).
