As above Smile

I have a NOVA interview before my AEON one and out of the two (if i got offers), i would prefer to go to AEON.

How long do they allow you to "think" about your contract?

(this is my last question tonight i promise)

Just my opinion, but no one actually owns you until you sign a contract and get your visa. Strictly speaking you could change horses even up until you get your visa. Once the school actually becomes your sponsor you offically become employed at that school.

I worked for NOVA (years and years ago and got hired in Japan) but I think a matter of courtesy would be a couple of weeks.

I think you can tell them you are waiting on other offers (they dont expect you to just apply to one school) but they will tell you when they want a firm answer by. My advice for what its worth, is not put all your eggs in one one basket and worry about offending them by fielding other offers. Thats the way the game is played here when getting interviews- have several balls in the air at once and you can be sure NOVA will be interviewing more people than they need.

NOVA will offer you the job 1-3 weeks after the interview and give you 1 week to decide. In my case I got the offer after 1 week and was given a bit longer than a week to decide since their UK offices were closed over xmas.

You can ask for more time to decide in "exceptional circumstances", although I don't suppose this would include waiting for another offer from one of their competitors. You could always invent exceptional circumstances, or if you're really feeling ruthless you could accept the job and pull out later.

Don't decline the job without getting the Aeon result though. I was rejected by Aeon along with many others so it isn't a dead cert.
