Thailand beaches/entertainment/scenery/things to do/shopping.

Can't beat Phuket in my view.

Been there 3 times in the last 18 months.

Great place........and makes Hua Hin look like a second rate ghost town!

What are you talking about?? Hua Hin is probably one of the top 3 beach resorts in the world!!! Wink

OK you have to dodge horse droppings on the sand and the water looks like the dishwater in my sink after I've cleaned up spaghetti bolognaise, but look at the thousands of German tourists....they can't all be wrong, can they???

Hey Kent.......these photos must have been taken very early in the morning Wink Wink

Where are all the Ponies/Well built German tourists and hawkers?

I went to Hua Hin with no preconcieved notions and left hugely disappointed......the place bears no comparison with the great Phuket or even the lesser great Samui...!!

The only places in Hua Hin I saw that were vaguely interesting/scenic were the railway station buildings and the old colonial hotel used in the film ' the Killing Fields'.

The beach was rather underwhelming and Clock and I are of the same opinion on this one....and hey I respect Clock......the man is a surfer par excellence and if anyone knows his beaches then Clock does!! Very Happy
