Thanks Mytime. Keep posting please - keep the threads about disreputable and illegal mills alive and alert people to how bad Santana School Zhuhai is.
Thanks for your good work! |

Well. Santana seem to be at it again. Two adverts recently (9th and 22nd February) which speak volumes. Anyone curious should compare and contrast them. Three points.
1)Accommodation. Their one property is rent free - but is filfthy. I know of six teachers put up there who found the flat and the surrounding area so bad that they refused to stay there. Downside to this is that you will then be at the mercy of Johnson the vice principal who will arrange private accommodation and overcharge you. The balance he will simply pocket.
2) Santana apparently think that a leading salary is now 3,000 RMB a month. This is half what they were paying to teachers two months ago.
3) Foreign Experts Certificates that Santana's recent ad says they will provide - are given to professionally qualified teachers with proper certification (i.e. University Degrees, a Teaching Certificate - either Grad or Post Grad - and teaching experience). The only places licensed to give FEC's are those schools recognised by the Authorities - namely schools acting legally. These certificates are issued before a teacher is allowed into China. The School pays for it and also provides the air-ticket in advance. It shouldn't come as a surprise to you that Santana did not last year give the FEC to the two professionally qualified and experienced teachers who were eligible for Expert's status.
Why was this? Because of course, Santana were simply not in a position to. Because Santana is an illegal and corrupt business. Please be warned. |

Some people just aren't prepared for China.
Santana is perfectly legal and have been operating for 5+ years, in basically the same place, without any problems.
You're just starting to sound bitter now pepsi.
It sounds to me like you arrived in Zhuhai with the wrong attitude (entitlement?) and it didn't fly so you left with your tail between your legs.
If you last in China you'll look back one day with a bit of perspective (and experience) and see things for what they are. |

Pepsi-Bones,
you come across as a rather frustrated fellow acting as a multiplicator of grapevine stories. Have you actually any insider information gained through your personal involvement as a teacher over there?
If not, your various statements might border on defamation! |

Roger. My experience is first hand. That experience has involved being lied to by Santana, being cheated by Santana and being robbed by Santana.
My colleagues were similarly treated.
I do not wish others to come to Zhuhai and receive the same treatment. Hence my posts.
Mytime - could you please tell readers why you think Santana is legit?
If they were - they would have issued the two qualified teachers the FEC as is required by Law. This I was told by the one guy still at Santana.
Or are both he and I wrong? |
