hey guys, i am coming to work in TW and cant decide on Taichung or Kaohsiung, Basically, I like socialising, I love eating out and going to out door cafes and bars! i am looking for a city cosmpolitan with lots of the above! (also there needs to be some sort of gay life!) I really dnt want to go to TPE so plz, what city out of taichung and kaohsiung will offer me the above!!

What a funny thought....

You can't get more "Hill Billy" than Taiwan.

The cities you want to live in are NOT cosmopolitan and neither is the captial for that matter.

If you want cosmopolitan you need to go to: Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Bangkok or Singapore.

Taipei, the biggest city on the island, is full of hill billies and not a big city at all.

Good luck with the outdoor cafe scene. LOL!!
