Yeehaa!! Easyjet have said that flights will commence from Istanbul(Asian side)to London from 29th of June. Cost is 30 quid. That suits me. I'll just jump on cheap flight to Glasgow from London.

don't forget to add in all the airport taxes and insurance, plus transport to and from the airports. I just checked on easyjet.com. the cheapo option is on tuesdays and wednesdays. However, it will force other operators to follow suit to some degree.

Does anyone know if there is a servis from the european side to Sabiha Gokcen airport. I heard there is one from Kadikoy. But haven't heard if there is one from this neck of the woods.

dmb, there seems to be an office for the airport on Cumhurriyet cad--I've walked past it many times but never went in to see if it was a holding cell for servis riders.

There is no Havas service from European side to Sabiha Gokcen. You can use IETT.

There was a time when the cost of flights were immaterial as the people we worked for use to pick up the tab . Now we are reduced to flying bargain basement class and kidding ourselves it goes with the territory,it didn't use to. We just get screwed now and accept it as the norm . How mighty are the fallen .

Too true Ollie how right you are ! I used to make the hop twice a year now we have to save for ages just to pay the flight and sell our bodies to finance the stay in the U.K . The cost of an average night out now is not much less than a full weeks wages over here ,absoloutly shocking!!!
