Widely renowned for its fountain of 'odd bobs', the TEFL world is shattered today with news that it is no longer the loopiest member of the teaching fraternity ... long the holder of the Crackpot Crown, the TEFL community has finally been dethroned ...
The reason; Mnsr X, a French supply-teacher, last night held more than 20 former students hostage, imprisoning them in their classroom at gun-point ... Mnsr X's protest at a school in Sable-sur-Sarthe, apparently over employment conditions, was swiftly swatted however by a local battalion of armed police ..
Leader in command of the TEFL world, Prof. Diddy Dodd, a former Diddyman of Ken Dodd fame, lamented 'it is a sad, sad day for diddyland ... eh .. I mean TEFL ... but knowing the number of loose canons among my fellow teachers, I'm confident we'll have the Crown back soon'
