I have posted a lot recently.

How easy is it to get to various parts of Siberia? What is worth seeing there? Is there anything close to or part of the Arctic circle which is really interesting to visit?

Where else in Russia is nice to travel to? Can anyone recommend coastal or mountainous/scenic areas to see?

Does anyone know of photography classes in Moscow that are not too expensive and good? Color developing particularly?

Have you any idea when you could get to Siberia, or the Arctic Circle? Seasons matter over there in Russia.

And how good is your Russian? It might be a little difficult to get to cheap English-speaking photography classes, if any.

Lake Baikal.

Lake Baikal as mentioned above.
Western Sayan Mountains are good for a wilderness area.
Altay Region also good for outdoor pusuits in more civilized surroundings.
You can fly to Norilsk up near the north coast from Moscow or Krasnoyarsk or if you're a bit more committed then there are summer river boats from Krasnoyarsk right up to Vorontsovo on the coast, I'm hoping to make this journey in the summer.
For something really special then KAMCHATKA is amazing.

the best way to　get around is to take the train, which goes through southern Siberia.
Around lake Baikal, the hiking and cross country skiing is good.
Some people like ice fishing, when possible.
I liked snowshoeing in Irkutsk. It was fun.

Irkutsk had a few museums I liked. I learned about the excursion when the Russians first went to Alaska - they departed from Irkutsk.
And the natives had teepees just like in North America. Their history museum was good.

for some parts I think your best bet would be to fly (Kamchatka, for example).
