I'm developing a game, well adapting a game, for my 30+ oral classes. It's a board game with task cards. I've started having a little brain lock, so I'm asking you for help.

For this task the students create a mini roleplay. The students imagine they are in their hometown and a tourist ask them a question or questions. They must respond to the question and attempt to be helpful.

Here's some examples:

"I'm lost. Can you tell me where the best hotel is."
A tourist tell you, "I've been robbed. What can I do?"
"Today is my last day here. What do you reccomend I do?"

Help me and finish this sentence.

A tourist asks... ...

or

A tourist tells you... ...

Thank you.

A tourist/(number) tourists asks/ask or says/say or enquires/enquire etc.:

...where is the:
a) train station; b) bus terminal; c) airport;
d) the nearest hotel; d) ...McDonald's e) waterfall;
f) tourist attraction; g) Friendship Store; h) post office;
i) bank (Bank of China) j) taxi stand; k) 1/5 star hotel

...What a beautiful view! (might provoke the student into some deprecatory comments about his home village/town).

...What a terribly hot day! (Might provoke students to reflect on when to guide visitors around)

...What's there to buy in your souvenir shops?

...How do I go from...to...? How long doe a bus trip from...to...take?

Itsme. Thanx. I really enjoyed that. My husband loved it too. But, I don't think my 18-20 year old understand sarcasm.

Roger, great suggestions. I already had most of them. I like the one about exchanging money.

I just need one more and I will have enough.
