As the head teacher at my school, part of my responsibility is the recruitment of new teachers. My boss and I had a meeting with the PSB, together with the other schools authorised to hire foreigners. We were told that in the future, no L or F visa's would be changed into Z or more correctly the multi-entry working permit. They said all teachers must arrive in Haikou with the Z visa. Even my boss who has high connections on the Island can no longer do the change. So Z visas will have to be done in one's home country or else we will have to send the teacher to HK.
Yes I know each province is different, hell each city is different, but I am just informing everyone what Haikou's policy now is!!!!

And the schools can be fined pretty hefty sums of RMB if they're caught too.

This policy is the norm. Most provinces follow this policy. |
