If so, what do you use it for? I hardly ever use mine.
I guess if I had Digiturk, I'd use it more often. But I use mine for the following.
1) To get water delivered
2) To get pizza delivered
3) To get beer delivered
4) To tell the office I won't be in that day(too much pizza)
5) To phone the family at Christmas.
Other than that it never gets used. |

Get food delivered, phone up people on the other side of the world whilst drunk and of course intercept other peoples calls. |

| I wouldn't have one at all if it weren't necessary for Internet access. For everything else it's either my mobile or Skype (and yemeksepeti to get food delivered). |

Ouch!!! And it always seems such a good idea at the time. You don't remember who you called, who they married or the name of their kid and you get charged 50YTL for the privilege. |

I have a landline mostly for internet and occasional calls abroad.
Do any of you know how the Turkcell card works for internet access? I am wondering how much it costs, etc, though I will probably not trade in my landline for it. It wd be a good option for people without ikamets. Or landlines. |

I just had a conversation from a TELSIM card to an AVEA card and used up 250 counters in about 30 minutes it seemed like I will probably be calling Ankara alot - from Istanbul - so what would be the cheapest way to take care of that? Would a landline be smarter? I mean, 250 counters is like $20!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are there any phone cards I can use on a landline in Turkey to call other landlines/cellphones?
And at some point in the past I had SKYPE but not anymore... how does that work again? I mean, is it useful to make calls within Turkey? I mean back to the states and within Turkey, again to Ankara?
(PS... I'm living in Istanbul and working now! Sorry I haven't posted or anything lately: lots of new things to see and all that!) |
