Yet another advertisement for teachermexconnect is on Dave's board today. I wonder if I send in more money if this will double my chances of receiving a reply for a position as it seems an M.S + with cert and experience just wasn't enough.

Is this service like a gambling site that states it is for entertainment purposes only. I'm starting to feel like I'm in Vegas at the slot machines.

It would be positive, JenniA, if you could post where you and your friend are working, as in where you were placed by this company. As a long time reader here reading some of the comments lead to believe that this is a cash grab every few weeks or so. If a qualified teacher with credentials like the previous poster never gets a response why would they keep advertising for more teachers? Doesn't sound right. How can someone plan a life to teach in Mexico if an answer never comes and there is no phone to call and check what's going on?

It is extremely sad that you guys would rather waste your money and never get a job than give a bona-fide school a chance. Every day as I sit in our spacious air-conditioned offices I marvel at the amount of weak minded people that let others ruin their chances of getting a good job. It doesn�t hurt ME. The damaged party is YOU. We pay interview costs. We want our teachers to be happy with us, not only us with them. We pay 11,000 (after taxes) monthly plus 2,500 housing allowance. We have 3 apartments on-campus that are available to single teachers complete with free wireless broadband. There is a 10,000 bonus in May. Our teachers get a raise in December. Our X-mas party has to be seen to be believed. I won a 15� flat screen TV. I am open to any and all e-mails. This is not an attempt to recruit. It is a clarification against attacks by ignorant people.

Where did this come from? I just have to assume that you have had a very bad day because, otherwise, calling people weak minded and ignorant is extremely rude. Also, your post doesn't make any sense. You just made a recruiting pitch and said it wasn't. I really don't have any problem with recruiting pitches, but if it looks like a duck, sounds, like a duck, etc., etc., it must be a duck. Of course, I'm just assuming that we are all ruled by the same laws of physics.

Did you feel that you were being personally attacked to make these statements. I've reread the whole post and, I must confess, I don't see it.

If it is at all possible, it would be good to keep it on the topic of TeacherMexConnect. I would also like to hear about exactly where people went after being referred by the TMC web site. After reading all posts concerning this site, there seems to be an extremely huge amount of bad comments and and extremely small amount of good comments. Again, please tell us about schools anyone has heard from after being referred by TMC.

Perfect example.... I have no idea why the moderators haven't canned his sorry butt, but anyway, some of us have theories about him after having compared notes.

1. He is the school owner who is actually too cheap to pay for a website or an ad on Daves so he prostitutes himself here blatantly trolling for teachers (big time in private messages..whoo-hoo!!) .
2. He is paid by the school owner to recruit teachers and gets a big fat commission and probably doesn't even live in Mexico
3. He is trolling for women, hence his "come to Mexico and meet me for free" promise. HOG WASH!
4. He is definitely not a teacher, too many slip-ups. Plus teachers don't behave in this manner, scratching the earth like a hungry chicken for co-workers to join him in such a wonderful wonderful school.

Should we start a poll? He really does seem to enjoy the attention, suspicious in itself. Any other theories?

gonzo, You would have to have a Ph.D. in Psychology to understand us on this forum. It goes back a loooong way. I am really a fat bald man in a trailer in Mississipi. I lost my house in the hurricane and now rely on FEMA to feed me. I dream about working in Mexico making just enough to scratch out a living. I am currently working on my home study GED course. 3.I am very happy with my Yucateca wife and 2 babies. You are going to eat your words and choke on them when we fly a teacher in. Seriously, a flight is a small price to pay. Our 800 students pay more than 3,000 monthly. You do the math.

Guy, This is getting tired. You know that you have screwed people over with your courses and offerings (maybe not your fault but don't attack me) and let's leave it at that. I guess there is no defence like an offence. Why don't you and your buddy CWC buy an ad like the other companies do? Even the company who is the topic of this thread pays for advertising here on Daves. I think your attempt to drive me off the forum does not speak well for you and your company. There are others afraid to speak up and this certainly shows why.

Incidentally, with your defence of CWC, you seem to ignore that several other posters have received private emails from him stating far worse things about others. In fact you have read them here on the forum. I did not say he was a sexual predator...That was your spin. Much of what you repeat from my messages is your spin. Defending CWC is not a good thing whether you like ME or not.
