When I first entered Tianjin I was offered a monthly salary for a one-week course as part of a "going-abroad" company which caters to the upper-class Chinese children, whose parents want them to visit abroad.
This was a one-week class by myself for these privileged children of the doctors, lawyers, party uppers, etc. They were supposed to be getting their visas for USA very shortly. After teaching this one week, I learned from the students that the visas had been declined. The promises of this for-profit "agency" had failed to materialize. These students never went abroad.
I thought about opening such an agency for those wanting to go abroad to Canada, etc., so many Chinese were hanging around me wanting to go abroad, and some in my night classes were there for that reason. One friend had her whole life savings of six thousand dollars ready to go to school in Canada, but did not qualify because of her English ability.
Has anyone started a "going-abroad" agency for profit or worked for one? Are any of them legitimate, or just prey on false hopes and rip the people off? Can they really help people to obtain a visa? |

Do you seriously think any FOREIGNER can just promise the Chinese masses they can go to his country if they pay him to do that???
Haven't you heard yet that going abroad is heavily policed by the government?
You will need a 24 carat personal and professional background and a lot of cash to deposit in a bank account the government designates for you! |

Roger, posts like that are not very helpful. If you knew anything at all, you know these language schools ARE run by foreigners, mainly Korean.
If Korean can open up schools in China, what makes you think a white man can't open up a company for going abroad training and getting Visa's? |
