Anyone know anything about the English Academy in Izmir? I'm sending a CV, but I'd like to get some info about them before I start really trying to get the job. Thanks in advance...

i went there for an interview last summer.

seemed like a decent place. they have a nice computer setup and if i recall the classrooms are air conditioned. the head guy...i forgot his name, is really nice and laid back (i hate that expression) and overall looks like a good place to work.

but it is *beep*-all hot in Izmir.

It is generally considered to be the best language school / dershane in the city another poster, F.G.T is still to the best of my knowledge there perhaps a pm would be in order .I'm curious as to why you would prefer to work there compared to a uni or high school where the pay and conditions are generally better .

To be honest, I would prefer a uni. I have an MA in Lit, so I'm generally qualified, but I don't really know the best way to go about finding a uni job here. Are there good unis in Izmir? I'm definitely leaving Istanbul, but maybe I could see myself in Turkey for another year. Any suggestions?

I'm definitely looking at going to Izmir soon or early next year for the latest.

Does the Eng. Academy offer a full time contract?

If only part time, how many hours can I expect in a month?
