Hello people:

I currently work in Ulsan, Korea, and I have been seriously thinking about relocating to another country. Taiwan is on my list of possible countries to relocate to.
The reason I'm posting here is to determine what some of the teachers over there think of their jobs and lifestyles away from work. What are the native Taiwanese like? How does your boss treat you? Is pollution an issue where you live? For those of you who had worked and lived in S.Korea, how would you rate Taiwan in comparison?

Thanks in Advance,

Korea is cleaner and pays better. Taiwan is warmer and there is less discrimination and racism on the part of the local population but much more from the occupational government. I never had a visa as an English teacher in Korea so I don't know if it is easier or more difficult but the visa situation on Taiwan is hit or miss depending on the day, the position of the stars or the rotation of the moon.
I liked Korean food better but in my humble opinion both Korea and Taiwan cuisine are lacking.
Taipei is by far the best city to live in but there are some nice spots on the East coast if you the adventurous type.
You won't get rich teaching on Taiwan but it can be an educational experience.
Please read this,

Good luck!
A.

Wow, Aristotle said something positive about Taiwan!! (sort of).

Still, he really frightens me.
