Does anyone know how one goes about getting a teaching job at a private elementary school or a private junior high school?
Do these schools usually advertise (paper, websites, etc.) or do you need to just walk in to a school to try to get your foot in the door?
I am not sure if these types of schools have foreign teachers on staff.
Thanks for any help you can provide! |

Back in ancient times (1997-2000), I had a pretty decent job at Wego Private High School. The "foreign" teachers were pretty autonomous and worked well together. That is until the Hess Rejects came along and decided to fix something that wasn't broken.
Umm, nowadays, I don't know how things are going over there. But if you want to find out, why not check 'em out? Just take the MRT to Beitou, transfer to the Xin Beitou line, and follow the kids wearing the funky blue-and-yellow jammies.
Another place I enjoyed was Jing-Cheng High School down in Zhanghua. Not bad and they paid me well, although they worked me like an Iditarod dog. |
