In the endless pursuit of information...

Does anyone have any other Mexico-related Bulletin Boards they frequent?

If you do please reply with the web address here. Hopefully we can create a comprehensive list.

Thanks,

Chris

I used the MexConnect forum before they started charging for it, I assume it still is there, but I don't use it anymore.

Imagine, charging for a forum? A forum is created by the users, the information is created for the users.

I run a board and the cost to run it is minimal, the time committment is not. Slap on some google ads and you can pay for the hosting, the rest you do out of a labor of love.

I used the Mexonline forums now and then. The users tend to be mostly retired folk and travellers so the information is not as helpful to an English teacher but it is a good place to ask about places to visit in Mexico and the culture. Check it out here: www.mexonline.com

I've used the Mex Connect website and found it useful and entertaining, though the people who frequent it are mostly retirees from north of the border. Since I'm hoping to retire (most likely to Mexico) in a few years, I've gotten lots of ideas about where I might settle once my social security and small private pension funds kick in.

I also find the Lonely Planet's Thorn Tree Forum really helpful once in a while- http://thorntree.lonelyplanet.com/categories.cfm?catid=17

I've visited several forums that are much more useful for tourists, retirees and real estate speculators than for teachers or anyone looking for employment. I would only share these sites for a small fee from their sponsors! Twisted Evil
Why post anywhere else besides Dave's?
If my Spanish was better I might do another forum, but it ain't. Crying or Very sad
