I found some job listings on the Internet for a company called Prep2go. It seems to be a business teaching English to Turkish executive types in Istanbul. Has anybody worked for or even heard of this company? I'd be interested to hear whatever you have to say, good or bad.

Never heard of them. But does anyone else find it strange that if they teach business executives they don't want teachers older than 32!

Is this the job ad you saw

What is the fixation in this business with youth?

Do they feel a 24 year old can do the job better than a 36 year old?

older, more-experienced teachers tend to ask for silly things like resources and insurance.

The medical insurance could be SSK.

Is this an actual teaching job? I had a look on their website and it seems like they are just flogging various software Confused

If you have a Turkish spouse, s/he may be able to help you out with the staff for little things like getting paid...

Also if you're single, you'll be able to survive on the measly wage they offer you, and you won't be putting your kid's broken arm on their medical insurance.....

I feel like I'm possessed by MLoyd! Shocked
