I will be arriving in Nagoya tomorrow and was wondering if there are many (or any) internet cafes to be found there?

Are they expensive? - v.important question right now

Hmmm. Can't say I've been to Nagoya. But most of the large chain Internet cafes in Japan charge from 300 - 500 per hour.

300 will get you a decent net connection in a shared room.
500 will get you a private room, large lounge chair, and TV.

I used to just ask department store staff or whoever seemed approachable "Intanetto kafe ga doko desu ka?" Manga kissaten sometimes have internet access too. Some of the cafes will let you sign up for a frequent-user card that will get you a discount.

I don't know how up-to-date it is, but there's a list here:

If you have a laptop with a wireless card, check here:

The International Center might be able to help you, too.

Try the BP Yahoo outlets if they have them. They have free internet as a gimmick to hook people into using their provider or whatever it's called. You aren't pressured into using the service, but at least when the time comes to get hooked up you might just use them.
