What a backward, farmer-mentality population of people.
Throwbacks.
Taiwan - even Taipei - is full of farmer, hill billy-types driving Mercedes.
I got on the bus the other day and the driver had no shoes on, pants rolled up, and chewing tobacco. He also had some Chinese country music turned up and blaring for all to hear.
What bunch of red necks - even in the city.
The Japanese are so much more refined than the Chinese/Taiwanese.
Why is that? |

Hey, San Chong, now this is 'NEGATIVE BIAS'. 
Miyazaki, if you think Taiwan is full of hill billies you haven't spent enough time in China.
You are either;
1) Drunk
2) Suffering from Cultural shock
3) Having a break down
4) All of the above
Having lived in China, Taiwan (north and south) and Japan, Taiwan was by far my favourite place for everyday living, but perhaps not for sightseeing / cultural outings.
Perhaps it's time for a vacation. |

| Don't forget: "Miyazaki" is one of Aristotle's stooges, a full-blooded Taiwan hater. Nothing that these stooges write should be taken seriously. It's just hate speech, which of course is fully protected. We can just ignore it. |

Well, perhaps it is not the clothing or music that people listen to that should be solely considered when assessing how well 'refined' a race or nation is. You might also do well to take a larger sample for your reasearch purposes. It is said, for example, that the true colours of race/nation are best observed during prolonged hardship, like wars. Let's put the Japanese under the spot light for a moment, just for the fun and hell of it:
'It may be pointless to try to establish which World War Two Axis aggressor, Germany or Japan, was the more brutal to the peoples it victimised. The Germans killed six million Jews and 20 million Russians [i.e. Soviet citizens]; the Japanese slaughtered as many as 30 million Filipinos, Malays, Vietnamese, Cambodians, Indonesians and Burmese, at least 23 million of them ethnic Chinese. Both nations looted the countries they conquered on a monumental scale, though Japan plundered more, over a longer period, than the Nazis. Both conquerors enslaved millions and exploited them as forced labourers � and, in the case of the Japanese, as [forced] prostitutes for front-line troops. thankfully, the moderators deleted Miyazaki's entire "This forum is boring like... everything in Taiwan" thread after I reported him.
Hopefully, they choose to continually delete his/her posts if they are prejudiced and inflammatory. It wouldn't be a bad idea to remove this thread either.
You have clearly been stepping over the line a lot more often lately. |

Incidentally, not that I'm kissing anybody's butt or anything, but I've heard these criticisms before, mostly from the Taiwanese themselves!  It's kind of scary going out with my local friends when they roll their eyes and tell me, "Taiwanese people are so stupid and blah-blah-blah." I feel like sooner or later they're gonna get me tarred and feathered! |
