The Taiwan forum has a good sticky on basic rights and things a newbie should watch for.
I don't think it is fair that newbies are expected to wade through tons of information to learn about what their rights might be in a foreign country. There should be a concise sticky about this on the Japan forum.
What do you think? |

I have posted stickies in the past, but not if its simply going to be a forum for pushing one individuals particular agenda. A sticky is a good idea, but not if its going to shove peoples politics down people's throats or cause disagreements. I have seen too many people use other threads as a soapbox for their hectoring and preaching.
I have recently come across the 2003 amendments to the Labor Standards Law that deal with worker rights in Japan.
This is a PDF file by a guy called Nakakubo. You have to go to the link and then download the file. You need Acrobat reader to open the file |

Also, there`s this article by Hiroya Nakakubo on the 2003 revisions to
the Labour standards law:
http://www.jil.go.jp/english/JLR.htm
Scroll down to Sprng 2004 and you`ll find it. It`s quite useful and
addresses contract expiry isues. There are many other good articles on
the site. |

Great okay. Well if the moderators could make up a sticky that would be great. |
