Hey guys! I'm looking to get some first time experience by applying to a summer school after I do my CELTA in May. Has anyone worked in Glasgow or Edinburgh schools? (I'm based in Scotland) Any advice on decent places? I'm not too worried about pay or long hours, bc I am just after the experience before going away! (I have worked as a camp counsellor in the States- are the summer schools just as intensive?) |

Hi,
I would like to ask pretty much the same question. I finish my Trinity certificate in June and would love to spend the rest of the sumer in Edinburgh getting some teaching experience before heading off. Have worked at the Tattoo for the previous 2 summers and would love to do that again, ideally combined with teaching in the daytime.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Basil Paterson is supposed to be a good school in Edinburgh. I don't know an awful lot about it but I've never heard anything negative about it and have met people that worked there and respected it. |
