Hey guys, I have been lurking and posting a bit on the Japan forum lately coz I am heading back there for a few months before going to Peru. Man o man there are some nasty pasties over on that site, some really sarcastic and caustic remarks and postings made there. Just made me miss you guys so much, you are all (mostly je je) very nice and accomodating and don't put people down for asking questions no matter how silly.

Big gold stars for you all!

Especially you Guy, the godfather of the general latin america forum. je je

Confused darn, I couldn't find a fitting Godfather quote.

Time for a group hug! Don't forget to come and tell us all about the wonderful things they have in Japan that we don't...like money, attentive students, modern technology, cutting-edge game shows...

well at least Japanese students turn up on time and generally pay on time, I don't know that that makes them attentive though.

I'm mixing up Japanese with Korean students, sorry. I was told just the other day that Korea kids take classes from dawn to dusk and beyond and will have that attentiveness beaten into them. Shocked

I taught some Koreans for the first time a few weeks ago. Since I didn't have any experience of Koreans I thought they would be much like Japanese students. I was pleasantly surprised that they were very polite and earnest and generous like Japanese students while being generally a little more outgoing and lively. Enjoyed them immensely.

Melee if I find any dark chocolate kit kats on the shelves of Lawson I will swing them your way!

they are super yummy...we have them in Canada (along with other strange kit kats like strawberry filled and a thick kit kat with caramel or peanut butter). We also have dark Aero bars which are out of this world...

That is very true Guy. The "love stick" is used quite a lot in schools here in Korea. But, not at my school.

I love my Korean students. Here is a picture of them dancing in my class:
