Just wondered what you all felt on this topic. If you had the money would you buy a property here at the Lagoon Plaza or the Pearl? Just wondered. |

I'd love to, there's a wonderful little beach front property in AL Khor that I want to own, unfortunately only Qatari's are allowed to purchase land in Qatar. Hence the horrendous rent prices. |

Is that in pain or in laughter?
Personally I wouldn't buy in Qatar or the Emirates, I would love to own a retirement place in Oman... In fact, it is the only country in the Gulf that I would consider - taking into consideration the government, the society, the scenic value of the place, and importantly, the people.

I checked into it and you can buy at the Lagoon or the Pearl, but those are the only places, I guess. Anywhere else you need a Qatari to buy 53% of the property. |
