Looking to book a month in August (the most expensive) to travel to the USA. How far ahead should I search for prices to get the best rate?

Start looking now! Actually, early March would have been a better time to start. I haven't checked about flights to the US but when I was booking my ticket to Europe last month (for summer), already a lot of the cheaper carriers were full. |

| Definitely as early as possible- I used to book my Christmas flight home in June, and even then I had trouble because flights were already full. Now I go home at cheaper, less crowded times. |
