Im thinking about transferring to Osaka in January, does anyone have any links for estate agents there or any information about the letting scene in Osaka in general.
I was hoping to upgrade from the expensive tokyo shoe box I live in at the moment!
Much appreciated |

There are estate agents such as MINI MINI (check the phone book).
I lived in Nagai, which is quite a working class area, but a cool community only six stops from the centre of fun in namba and Shinsaibashi.
The owners of two buildings are Mr and Mrs Kitamura, and the nagai address is
Grandu Katura
3-4-1 Nagainishi
Sumiyoshi-Ku.
Its on the red line (the Midosuju line)
They have 2 buildings but the nagai one has the larger rooms, if you opt for the newer ones. They have a few oldies too.
70 000 a month with no key money or deposit.
I was happy there.
Best of luck.
Otherwise try kansaiscene.com |

Can't much help with agents BUT to avoid agent fees, you can look in the Kansai SCENE or FLEA MARKET online for information abotu places.
The FLEA MARKET has TONS of ads every week for apartments, maybe cheaper than in Tokyo...would imgaine they are a little cheaper.
I also have the name of a landlord who has some decent flats in Osaka. Nice Aussie guy who is very helpful and lentient when it comes to paying your deposit in one lump sum.
