Read in Metropolis you could find them for as little as 2100 Yen.
Anyone know where to find that or other good prices?

(ANd how far in advance I should by???)

Hope someone can help...

2100 yen sounds a little too cheap to be true! What else did the Metropolis say?

Lots of busses leave from the west exit of Shinjuku station, but I always thought the price was around the 8000 yen mark.

Uhm, they said due to increased competition you could now find buses to Osaka for as low as 2100 at certain travel agencies...

I have found some for 4300 (orion Tour), but most sites in japanese only.

Also know there are some ticket booths outside Shinjuku station where you could buy discount tickets...
(But still not sure what the price will be...)

Hmmm... Now that is a bargain! However, it sounds like all the cheap companies are in Osaka.

Mind you...

That doesn't sound like fun Sad

Look into the "night bus" that departs Tokyo in the evening and arrives at your destination in the wee hours. I once took a Tokyo-Kyoto night bus for 5,000 yen. Not a bad deal.

I took a night bus from Shinjuku to Yamato Yagi in Nara for 6000 yen. It was a great deal but the ride sucked cause I was hungry and cold and the guy in front of me farted and snored all night. But I was doing it to go to Okinawa on a free trip from Osaka, so I can't complain. The deal was through Nippon Travel Agent which I think may only be in Yokosuka, but you can also try Family Mart, which has bus route and price info. Good luck.

Thanks to everyone...
Still havent bought the ticket (surprise) but have at least found some travel agencies I can check out tomorrow.

And Family Mart is a good option, though I dont think they can speak English Wink

For me price much more important than comfort...

Found very cheap ticket in the end.

3900 from Shinjuku to Osaka.

You need Japanese or a friend to book, though, but recommended!!!
