So now that Im a certified Argentine taxpayer (just made the 1st monotributo payment today), I demand to know what Im entitled to from the government.
Just kidding. Though now that I have this CUIT Im wondering what I can do with it: can I open a bank account? Can I get a guarantia? Or is there really nothing - aside from cashing invoices - that it allows you to do? Anyone who has a CUIT and can shed some light on this would be most appreciated...and Ive little doubt many other people who are teaching (legally) are interested in this topic as well.
Thanks. |

The institute Im working for says its the only way theyll pay me...it seems like a legit place and I think they pay towards the higher end (15-19 pesos an hour) so I figured Id give it a shot. To my very great surprise, the whole, quasi-convoluted process turned out to be a breeze - Ive had more bureaucratic run around in the states just trying to change a cell phone number. I think it offers more than just being able to cash checks (invoices) though...so Im trying to figure out what that is. |
