|
|
I understand that before I can get a propper working visa in Japan I need to find someone in Japan who is willing to sponsor me. This is usually an english school who would offer me a job from what I gather.
Does it have to be an employer of can I get my native Japanese girlfriend to act as my sponsor in Japan, so that I can gain a certificate of eligability to get my visa?
If so are there any costs involved for the sponsor?
Many Thanks

How can a girlfriend sponsor you for employment unless she runs a business? Think of it. |

Not to mention that as your sponsor in Japan, your girlfriend would be legally responsible for your welfare in Japan, which means providing you not only with a minimum income to live on, a plane fare to your country should you not be able to support yourself in Japan or if you are deported
, be liable for your hospital debts and living expenses if you are hospitalised and cant pay, responsible for you if you were unfortunate enough to get arrested by the police and you need to be bailed out.
It doesnt cost her anything to sponsor you, but the responsibility for them is HUGE.
FWIW ones Japanese spouse will become a sponsor of a spouse visa, but immigration does not normally allow girlfriends to become sponsors (whatwould happen if you broke up with her?) and unless they have their own businesses etc. |
