It's regretable to learn of the bad experiences some teachers at Deborah have had. Thankfully, my time at Deborah so far has been trouble-free.
Before arriving in HK I liased with Deborah staff in arranging my work visa, airport collection and accommodation (which is basic but standard). Upon my arrival in HK I was assisted in organising my i.d card, bank account etc.
When issues have arisen - over the curriculum or personal matters - the school has been willing to resolve them amicably. Admittedly, each branch school will have different Chinese and Foreign teachers and its inevitable that occasionally there will be a clash of personalities and/or cultures and customs.
Similarly, the long chain of command in receiving an answer to questions or requests can be frustrating - patience and compromise is essential! |
