Looking for some thoughts on conference presenter biodata.
I have up to 50 words to describe myself, but personally perfer something simpler.
MELEE has been an English teacher, teacher trainer and language consultant for ten years in Ecuador, Japan and Mexico.
I kind of don't want to include the name of the place I'm currently working, since they won't be paying any of the expenses involved in attending the conference.
Opinions?

Research interests, specific skills (e.g., academic writing, public speaking) that you teach, etc. Publications?

50 words? Yikes!
Put down your qualifications and interests. You can say where you work, gives more weight, regardless of whether or not they are paying. I always say where I am teaching so they don't think I'm a "homeless" bum. |
