For those of you involved or have been involved in recruitment in the ME. How do you regard an Msc in Educational Management. When places advertise for an MA do they or the countries accept an MSc. I ask because I was asked about the Aston Msc in EM and haven't a clue about it.
Personally, if I was advertising for teachers and they applied saying they had the above..... I'd think they were after my job and they wouldn't be top of the pile.

Too long in the Levant. You are now thinking like a Levantine, or worse, like a Stambouli !

If they're applying for a regular English language teaching job, they'll need plenty of suitable experience and an appropriate teaching qualification as well. But I think we'd accept an MA or MSc in Educational Management as the 'Masters' qualification.

I suspect that many interviewers would be thinking like dmb. Especially in places where interviewing is done by Westerners, whose experience and education are as teachers... not management.

But, for places just starting out - lots of these lately - that are looking for management, I would think this would be a plus.

If I were interested in ME teaching, I don't think this would be the first choice for a Masters.

Thanks for your responses guys. I had a look at their website and it seems that with the exception of the dissertation, you can choose all the same courses and receive an Msc in TESOL, management, young learners or ESP.
