Getting in the lift before everyone else.

Anglers fighting over the same stretch or water.

Country dancers do-se-doing you out of the way.

Which definition are you going to go for????

Perhaps more context would help. Is it in a sentence? What kind of line?

Super Frank..I'd go for 'Anglers fighting over a stretch of water ' out of your suggestions Laughing

Stil ...Not sure of the context ..he just threw it at me

Thought it might be an American expression?? ..I've never heard of it.

Sth to do with 'working on the line' maybe , perhaps ..I dunno

Well just explain bullying and tell him he needs to give more context.

It could just be a Chinese businessman pushing his way to the front of a queue in a bank.

Or it could be workers on an assembly line bullying their colleagues to work faster or slower to adjust the movement of the line.

Good grief, are you a teacher of English. I assume not, if you were you'd know the difference between grammar and spelling. Or at least correct english. Last time I looked, 'wot' wasn't in the dictionary.

In a flash of genius it came to me last night, as I often ponder on the unsolved mysteries of the universe. I actually think line bullying is where your manager bullies you and you bully your underlings etc etc, as in your line manager, chain of command type thingy wotsit. Does that make sense?

Reel em in....

Bayden are you really that anal? Did you not see any irony in my apology? Completely went over your head?

But, if we are going for the purist approach, I suggest you proof read your own message before posting.

Eg.

A question is usually followed by a question mark. You did ask a question in your opening sentence, didn't you ? (note the correct use of question marks here).

What is 'english' ? Surely it should be capitalised.

'Or at least ..' is a continuation of the same sentence and doesn't stand up as a sentence on its own.

So, my grammar is'nt always perfect. Strike a chord ?
