Nova called and accepted me as one of their worker bees. I get my package mailed to me so I'll know deets next week. They were hiring for August/September start dates, so we will see. I'm old enough to not look a gift horse in the mouth, so I'll accept and see you all in Japan!
I am very excited this is REALLY happening! I don't care if it's with Nova or not right now I am just thrilled to be going and have someone willing to sponsor and set me up a bit. |

Congrats! I'll be going over around the same time. Where are you trying to be located? |

Not sure, I'll know when I get the package (they estimate it will arrive Monday or Tuesday). I asked for the multimedia centre, but I said if that doesn't work somewhere south would be nice. Then I paused and said you know honestly you could send me to some rural village in the north and I'd be thrilled. I'd just really like the south to get out of that whole winter thing (Montreal has burned me out- I've only managed to escape one whole winter since moving here ten years ago).
btw I love your sig line! |

Thanks. Honestly from all the reading and such I was really nervous and expecting a no-go. If I look at the whole process from when I decided this is it let's do it and applying and then hearing back, I am amazed. Who knows how they decide to hire people or why.
Actually I think I've got some insight on this and I should share a bit. I'll make a separate post. |

Well as youre a Canadian and even more so as youre from Montreal I'd be hoping for a placement somewhere in Tohoku (Northern Honshu)
...becuz she can get just slightly disgusting in the summer heat elsewhere, even up there but more so in the south. |

Congrats! Don't let NOVA push you around. Use them as a stepping stone to bigger and better things |

congratulations. have fun in japan.
MM centre is a mixed bag. the teachers are a very young crowd and many of them do turn up for work drunk. |
