I passed it on the third try. I think the reason why is that I stayed to the left as close as possible the whole time and imagined a million bicyclists and pedestrians all around me. With every lane change and every turn, I made it very obvious I was looking all around me. It was still a little cold so I wore a jacket that was kinda noisy, everytime I turned my neck my hair would rub against the jacket. I felt that that helped too.
Funny thing-when I realized I passed I got out and left the driver door open for the next driver that was sitting in the back. The official screemed at me to shut the door. I thought I blew it for sure but he let me pass.

You done good JJ. They are real sticklers for the checking over the shoulder and getting over on the lane changes.
First time, I took a manual transmission and touched a pole while attempting to back-up in the narrows, seems I wasn't in gear and rolled forward when I was trying to back-up. My bad. Second time, I wasn't keen to the looking over the shoulder and lane change deal.
But honestly, my performance on Tuesday was flawless, save perhaps stopping at an unobstructed intersection, which he didn't mention.
Anyway, now I am registered for the Saturday one-hour lecture which should do the trick, would have taken it before but there aren't any this month.
As for the some of the previous posters, why don't you go back and read your posts on this thread and tell me if they aren't child-like. Really, my spouse has been reading lately and can not believe some of you, the attacks and pettiness, I believe "horrible" was the word used.

Well, you certainly don't mind jumping in when you have nothing to contribute, as evidenced in this thread.
As far as our kids are concerned, how old is your little one now?

Okay Canuck, let's go back over this with baby steps. I related my recent driver's license experience on this thread at the end of the first page, period. I didn't ask for anything from anyone. Right?

Finally, tell me how those three posters were helpful or friendly in any way.
You may have noticed that the first response was from a senior member here, thus setting a good example for all. Then there was a jab taken by another big here and then your little gem, followed by an excellent post by 6810 and Yawarakaijin and some typical hassling followed by the giving out of personal information in no way related to anything on this or any forum. You see?
So, take this little anecdote and you have a representative example of the way things are here and it is no secret.
As an adult and an educator Canuck every day is a new day for me, I don't hold grudges and I don't badger people. I treat others as I would like them to treat me.
