Does anyone know anything about a "Communications Specialist" position in Shanghai? Pay, benefits, housing, airfare, etc.? Any information would be greatly appreciated! |

There are many Chinese IT specialists in China, and their pay is not so high. I'm guessing you are looking for an English speaking position? |

Thanks for replying Voldermort. Actually, I am looking for specific information about positions in Microsoft Shanghai that are training Chinese IT staff in English language and cross-cultural communication. If anyone is/knows someone who is in that position, I would love to hear from you! |

I knew a guy who worked that position for Microsoft in Shanghai, supposedly they worked him very hard. I think he was putting in something like 60 hours a week, and the pay was 8000 RMB a month. This was around the end of 2003 or so. People get sucked in by the lure of having Microsoft on their resume.
I don't remember if housing was included, and airfare, I doubt it. The position didn't sound appealing, you can do so much better at any k-garten or language mill. |
