Does anyone know anything about a "Communications Specialist" position in Shanghai? Pay, benefits, housing, airfare, etc.? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

There are many Chinese IT specialists in China, and their pay is not so high. I'm guessing you are looking for an English speaking position?

Thanks for replying Voldermort. Actually, I am looking for specific information about positions in Microsoft Shanghai that are training Chinese IT staff in English language and cross-cultural communication. If anyone is/knows someone who is in that position, I would love to hear from you!

I knew a guy who worked that position for Microsoft in Shanghai, supposedly they worked him very hard. I think he was putting in something like 60 hours a week, and the pay was 8000 RMB a month. This was around the end of 2003 or so. People get sucked in by the lure of having Microsoft on their resume.

I don't remember if housing was included, and airfare, I doubt it. The position didn't sound appealing, you can do so much better at any k-garten or language mill.
