Hi all,

I'm trying to set up a homestay for the first few weeks so I have someplace to go when I get off the plane. What areas are safe enough for someone new to B.A. and close enough to the microcentro to make job hunting reasonably convenient? Thanks,

Jess

To be honest In my opinion there arent any real bad areas in Buenos Aires certainly not compared to where Im from or other Latian American cities. Usually homestays are not in dangersous or unsavory neighbourhoods anyway. Maybe the only ares that I could think of off the top of my head might be Constitucin, but even then mostly only by the station. Maybe if you wanted to be super cautious you might want to give Barracas and La Boca a miss too, they can be a bit more dangerous at night.
