Anyone with experience/information on U. of Nottingham Ningbo?
I have searched and found one reference but no info on this school.
Looks like a very good deal, high salary (tho fractional contract), etc.

It is a genuine set up, in partnership with the Wan Li education group, which runs schools from kindergarten to university in Ningbo.
The clients are from very wealthy families. My high school here in Australia is in partnership with the Wan Li International [middle] School. They send groups here on 2 week study tours, and the kids are loaded with USD. Two of our staff went there several weeks back to have a look, and met up with the Nottingham people.
I got into their website last year, but you need to use Chinese characters to find it, let alone read it. |

I have a lot of info about the Ningbo campus, and have connections to the people involved.
They don't appear to need (actually, want is the more appropriate word) the more conventional ESL teachers to improve the oral communication of the students.
They are looking for people to train the students to pass IELTS 6 or TEOFL 7 (I forget the numbers), which is a requirement for entry. Other than that, I believe all the rest of the staff are university lecturers.
All the lectures are in English, and the students travel over to Nottingham for the third year of their study. |
