I've just accepted a position teaching High school Chemistry at a private school in Botoga, Colombia. I'm fresh out of Teacher's College in Ontario.
If anyone has any advice for me, it would be greatly appreciated!!

I'm looking to find out what resources/supplies I should bring with me there. I'm coming from Toronto, Canada.

I also want to know what I should pack regarding clothing, tolietries, etc. I'm a 25 year old female.

Thanks so much in advance.

Everything you need is available in Bogota. The northern half, where your private school probably is located, is posh, and full of wealthy condos, shopping malls and cafes. The south, far from where you'll be, consists of very poor neighborhoods that stretch on for miles in all directions. The center of Bogota is where all the historical sites are and where the "artsy" people hang out.

You'll most probably be teaching upper class, rather spoiled boys and girls. There is some very beautiful countryside leaving the city from the north part of town.

Bogota is not my cup of tea. I prefer Medellin or the coast, but all places are less than an hour's plane ride from Bogota-or an incredible bus journey!

Colombia is an incredible country-don't let all the bad press scare you off!
