I went to Carrefour yesterday and they have a special offer:

7 bottles (no deposit) of Efes (50 cl) with a free glass for 12 YTL. The glass is fantastic-not one of the usual ones-it is specially made for the World Cup. I don't know if they are selling them anywhere else.

Just come back from Migros and they are selling the same 7 pack with the fantastic free glass for 12.59.

Thrifty's enthusiasm for this class is well founded. I bought two from Carrefour last nigh and they are ace. They're shaped like the world cup and make the beer taste better.

It never occurred to me to actually use the glasses. I just drank the beer straight from the bottle.

It makes the beer taste better-great I will christen one of the glasses tonight.

Make sure you take it with you to watch the matches then ... you could get them to have it hanging behind the bar ready for you

It would get stolen. That is why you don't see public lending libraries in Turkey.

Sort of. I live in the centre of the universe, and everything revolves around me soooo there is the Belediye building across the street and a library/public records something next door. Now, everyone can find me. Shocked Uh oh.
