Yeah, my experience was pretty stupid. I wrote a posting about it in March. Worst is how I felt compelled to act. If you go, I hope your experience is better, cause it really is a beautiful country (if you can get our of Khartoum!) Good luck!

I see ISES Sudan are advertising again on tefl.com, with Gigi Jones' name. Wow after Seditious's terrible experience with the basics ie not getting paid, not being given the legal work visa, the school itself acting illegally putting everyone at risk (she was very lucky not to get stuck in the country unable to obtain an exit visa), I wonder if anyone should consider them really. Be warned. Unless anyone else has a more recent update, ie a better story to tell? It is possible the school may have learnt from their mistakes, although I doubt the cultural aspects have changed. Anyone know?

Hello seditiouscloud!
I can't find your post about working in sudan. Can I contact you to ask you some questions about your experiences?

I see you have read seditious' post from March about working in Sudan. Could you elaborate on it? I can't find the march-post....
