|
|
Apart from chinatefl.com, which job boards have the most ads posted directly by middle schools/universities that want to hire foreign teachers? I've done quite a bit of searching, but most of the other boards seem completely infested/overrun with recruiters and private language training centers.
Am I missing any great websites? |

Thanks tw, but I had already read that thread. That list of websites you posted is completely overwhelming, and most of them fall squarely into the "overrun with recruiters and private language schools" category, with no postings directly by universities.
Do you have any specific recommendations among those sites? |

Contact schools directly. Avoid agents like the plague. If you correspond with someone who has a university email address, ascertain that the person is a DIRECT employee of the school. Make the person state exactly his/her relationship to the school. If the person does not work in the FAO, run.
Try abroadchina.org and Teach in China |

Is anyone else having problems with chinatefl.com? I haven't been able to open it for the past couple of days. |

Look at the ads' contact e-mail address and if you see something from .edu.cn then it's definitely from a university/college/middle school.
Off the top of my ehad I kinow at least www.abroadchina.org and www.tefl.cc are directly from employers. There are others, you will just have to go through my list carefully and draw your own conclusion. |

Yes, most boards especially the free post ones are full with recruiter ads. I agree the best way is first select the area you wish to work and live in, then to contact to school directly.
If you want some help I can refer you to a good university to work at.
Good luck,
