Hi,
I am planning on traveling through Cambodia this summer and just wondered if any of the locals could tell me about English language entertainment magazines or newspapers you read.
I am hoping to pick up a few as I enjoy reading the independent (sometimes free) newspapers wherever I go. If you read them, where can I pick up a copy?
Thanks. |

There are two English language newspapers in Cambodia.
The "Cambodia Daily" is a small 8-12 page A4 sized paper released every day from monday to friday, with a special weekend edition. It deals with world issues as well as local news.
The "Phnom Penh Post" is a newspaper released every two weeks, which is more comprehensive when it comes to local issues.
The kids on just about every street corner in Phnom Penh will try and sell you copies of these two as soon as they see you.
Entertainment magazines? Not many, although I wasn't particularly interested in this stuff. "Bayon Pearnik" has slightly amusing stories written by expats which can be picked up for free at most restaurants. Some of the kids who sell the newspapers also sell magazines from Thailand. |
